It has been 4 years since we began to offer free voice chat to our friends here in cyberspace. We have made great friends and have had a wonderful ride. On Saturday, November 10th, we will celebrate this occasion. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the Traveler experience with us. Tell your friends and lets help usher in another great year for Tech Worlds and DigitalSpace Traveler. Party starts at 5pm Pacific time. We hope to see you all there.
We all come and go in this world. We live our lives, our busy lives, running from place to place. Sometimes we never stop to help people, we never stop to give others the time of day. We also never stop to appreciate the things around us. We all have a very finite amount of time to be here, a small amount of time to appreciate the beauty around us, a small amount of time to make someones day with something as simple as a smile. I urge you all to take the time to appreciate those around you, be compassionate with others, and just take the time to gaze at a simple sunset. They really are quite breathtaking. I know that i only have so many days left in this world and sadly only so many more sunsets to enjoy. I am trying to live and enjoy each and every one. This one i enjoyed tonight and captured with my camera. I wanted to share it with all of you. (click on it to get a better, larger view) ![]() Enjoy my friends.
Maxie Falls and Maxie Falls Night by Tinker. Two fun rooms that are part of a much bigger picture to come. Flowing water, crazy cable cars, a sawmill, and a grazing deer are just a few of the eye popping aspects of these great spaces. Come see them today!
I recently have returned from a trip to Los Vegas where i had the pleasure of attending a Peter, Paul, and Mary concert at the Orleans Hotel and Casino. As usual a PPM show is something magical and special. Impossible to put into words. I went down there with my folks and they really had a great time at the show. ![]() We also gambled (of course)and went sight seeing. There really are alot of casinos, all larger than life, to explore and look at on the Los Vegas Strip. We also went to the Star Trek Experience at the Hilton. We had lunch and drinks down at Quarks Bar on the Promenade. Lotta fun, lotta geeky trekies around! ![]() Our trip to downtown Vegas was fun as well. We saw the light/TV show that they beam up to the canopy covering the downtown area. Worlds largest big screen they call it. ![]() Look forward to many more Tech Worlds Blog updates from all over the globe!
![]() Over the past few weeks we here at Tech Worlds have been going through the process of making our Traveler Servers 100% Microsoft Vista compatible. For those of you using Microsoft Vista you may have noticed that some of our Traveler spaces have caused your Traveler program to crash. You do not need to worry about this because this is no fault of yours but an incompatibility with Vista and some of our Traveler spaces. We are proud to announce that both Tech Worlds and Tech Worlds Utopia are now 100% Microsoft Vista Compatible! Some of our maintenance may mean that you cannot access some of the spaces that are hosted here on the Tech Worlds Traveler Servers. If you cannot gain access to a space, you may need to delete that space's DSV or DSS from your Traveler cache. For help with this, click here.

We recently had a guest here on TechWorlds who was interested in Virtual Worlds. We gave her a little bit of incite into our free 3D voice chat community. She went on to write an article for the Philadelphia Inquirer about her experiences with the avatars she encountered. QUOTE But audibly, Traveler allows the ultimate personalization, as the avatars speak in their real-world person's voice. There is no typing involved in the conversation - users talk into a microphone or, in a pinch, into the earpiece of a headphone. The avatars lip-sync. And the closer another avatar comes, the louder its voice gets - just as in real life. Recently Millet met up with friends - a horse, a white rabbit, a black-and-white face, a spiky ball, and two cats - at a cyberspace 1950s-style burger joint. To a first-time visitor, the space was akin to the bar scene in Star Wars or the Restaurant at the End of the Universe from The Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy. Yet within minutes, the new user turned her avatar to look at the avatar who was talking - or on this occasion, discussing why it is that people from Philadelphia, New Jersey and New York say they "food shop at the food store," while much of the country buys groceries at the grocery store. One of the easiest ways is to go to the Tech Worlds Website and use our little Destination Page located on the right hand side. It will show the names of the people and what rooms they are in. You can simply click on the link to the room and it will launch your Traveler browser and take you there. ![]() You can also use the locate feature in Traveler. When in world simply select Locate from the menu, then chose "Where is everyone in Tech Worlds". That will bring up a window that will alow you to locate and find other users on the server. Keep in mind that if there is nobody on Tech Worlds at the time that it will show nobody. ![]()
