Hello, we are currently deploying our new blogging module that has been incorporated into our forum software.
We are still working out some of the kinks in the system but things are starting to look better all the time. Mscdex has done a lot of work in the last few days to help get this forum more squared away and to help get everything looking more uniform between the forum, gallery, and blogging software. We all owe Dex a big Tech Worlds thank you!
Our forum software allows all registered users to not only have the ability to post and take part in discussions, but create their own galleries and blogs as well.
Discuss all kinds of fun topics and learn all about computers and technology in our discussion forums.
Wanna share your pictures with all your friends here on Traveler? Create an album in your user manager and upload and share your pics today!

Scaling your WRL files for Traveler
Posted by Tech Worlds, Jan 9 2007, 08:37 PM in Traveler Space Building
When designing your space and building in Max people always ask me how big to make things. This is a valid question but it is one that we really don't need to worry about at this stage.
The main thing you want to do as a new space designer is to create and build and get to know the VRML authoring/modeling program you are using. (ie: 3D Studio, Truespace, ect)
The important thing isn't the size of your models, the important part is that all the objects in any one particular wrl file be proportionate to each other.
That is the key.
WRL files can always be scaled later in Max or in your DSV file using the Transform node.
Example:
Separator{
Transform{scaleFactor 0.5 0.5 0.5}
WWWInline{name "spaces/test/test.wrl"}
}
This would make your test.wrl file, located in the spaces/test folder, one half size in x, y, and z dimensions.
Then all you would have to do is test in Traveler and adjust the values until you get the desired size.
